A. Personal Data You Provide

When you use our Calculator, purchase a Report, or contact us, we may collect:

Identity Data: First name, last name.
Contact Data: Email address.
Business Data: Business name, sector, revenue, and employee count. (Note: For sole traders, this may be considered personal data).
Transaction Data: Details about payments to and from you and other details of services you have purchased from us. Note: We do not store full credit card details; these are processed securely by our payment processor (Stripe).

B. Carbon Activity Data

To calculate your footprint, you voluntarily provide:

Energy usage (kWh), vehicle mileage, flight details, and supply chain spend.

This data is stored to generate your results and certificates.

C. Technical Data (Automatically Collected)

Usage Data: How you use our website (via Google Analytics).
Technical Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device information.

How We Share Your Data

Formspree For processing contact forms and calculator submissions.

Carbon Registries We share Business Name and Volume to retire credits on your behalf (e.g. Verra).

Professional Advisers Accountants, insurers, or lawyers if required.

Law Enforcement and Regulators We may disclose your information if legally required to do so by government bodies or to comply with applicable laws.

International Data Transfers

Some of our external third parties (e.g., Google, Stripe, Formspree) are based outside the UK. Whenever we transfer your personal data out of the UK, we ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to it by ensuring at least one of the following safeguards is implemented:

We will only transfer your personal data to countries that have been deemed to provide an adequate level of protection for personal data.
Where we use certain service providers, we may use specific contracts approved for use in the UK which give personal data the same protection it has in the UK.

Calculator Data: Retained for 3 years to allow year-on-year comparisons.
Transaction Data: Retained for 6 years for tax purposes (HMRC).
